Memorial Day Tribute--"Taps Across the Water at Dusk"
Chautauqua-Wawasee and Syracuse American Legion Post #223 are collaborating to sponsor "Taps Across the Water at Dusk". The Event begins at dusk in honor and mourn military personnel who have dies in the performance of their duties while serving in the U.S.A Armed Forces. @Lakeside public area.

About the Event
We are requesting a moment of silence by all in attendance at 9:08 pm. At 9:09 pm, Taps will sound simultaneously by buglers strategically placed on Lake Wawasee, Syracuse Lake, And Papkeechie Lake. Both solo and echo rendition of Taps will be audible depending on the lake location. Participating musicans include members of our community and surrounding areas, including veterans, community bands, high schools, educators, and professionals. Dr Matthew Murdock from Trevecca University in Nashville is the music coordinator for the event.
